About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Power BI Administrator to join a global Cybersecurity Science and Analytics function within a large enterprise environment. This senior-level contractor role will support a high-performing team of cybersecurity specialists, engineers, and data professionals delivering advanced analytics, enterprise reporting, and insight-driven solutions at scale.
This role offers strong exposure to enterprise analytics technologies, cloud platforms, DevOps practices, and modern data engineering concepts, making it an excellent opportunity for someone looking to further develop their expertise within a large-scale cyber and analytics landscape.
Key Responsibilities
Administer and maintain the Power BI and Microsoft Fabric environments, ensuring platform stability, performance, scalability, and security.
Manage and support CI/CD deployment pipelines using Azure DevOps and Microsoft Fabric deployment tooling.
Develop and maintain automation solutions using Power BI and Fabric REST APIs for administration, monitoring, and operational efficiency.
Oversee workspace governance, user access, security groups, and permissions in accordance with enterprise standards and compliance requirements.
Monitor platform utilisation and performance using Fabric capacity metrics, implementing optimisation improvements where required.
Analyse activity logs and monitoring data to support troubleshooting, auditing, operational support, and reporting activities.
Lead proof-of-concept initiatives, contribute to solution architecture decisions, and establish platform best practices.
Keep up to date with emerging Microsoft analytics technologies, platform enhancements, and industry developments.
Partner with stakeholders, analysts, and engineering teams to deliver robust reporting and visualisation solutions aligned to business requirements.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members while contributing to team development and continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills & Experience
Proven experience administering Power BI or comparable enterprise analytics and visualisation platforms.
Strong understanding of analytics platform governance, security models, and access management.
Experience working with cloud-based analytics and data platforms within enterprise environments.
Hands-on experience with DevOps practices, deployment pipelines, and automation for analytics workloads.
Knowledge of scripting or programming languages such as Python, Java, or C# would be advantageous.
Background in data visualisation, analytics engineering, business intelligence, or data engineering preferred.
Interest or exposure to cybersecurity analytics environments is beneficial but not essential.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
Self-motivated with a strong willingness to learn new technologies, tools, and industry practices.
