We are seeking an experienced Director of Project Management to lead the delivery of large scale utility solar projects across the United States. This role is ideal for a proven leader whose background is primarily within an Independent Power Producer environment and who has successfully managed utility scale solar projects of 100MW or larger from development through commissioning.
This position will oversee project management teams, establish execution standards, and ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.
* Lead and mentor a team of Project Managers overseeing utility scale solar projects
* Own project execution strategy from late stage development through construction and closeout
* Serve as the primary internal escalation point for schedule, budget, and risk management
* Partner closely with Development, Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Finance, and Executive Leadership
* Oversee project budgets, forecasting, and reporting for large scale portfolios
* Ensure adherence to contractual requirements, EPC agreements, and owner obligations
* Drive standardization of project management processes, tools, and best practices
* Support executive leadership with project performance updates and strategic planning
* Majority of professional experience must come from an Independent Power Producer environment
* Extensive experience managing utility scale solar projects of 100MW or larger
* Proven track record delivering large scale solar projects from pre construction through COD
* Strong understanding of EPC contracts, project finance considerations, and owner side risk management
* Experience managing and scaling high performing project management teams
* Ability to operate at both strategic and hands on execution levels
* Strong communication skills with internal teams, external partners, and executive stakeholders
* Experience overseeing multi project portfolios or regional solar programs
* Background working directly with lenders, investors, and internal finance teams
* Experience supporting project development handoff into construction
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
* Senior leadership role with direct impact on large scale renewable energy assets
