Combine Cycle Project Manager

Project Manager | Combined Cycle Power | Charlotte, NC Area

I'm partnering with an engineering and project delivery organization supporting capital power generation projects, and they are looking to add an experienced Project Manager to their team in the Charlotte region.

This individual will oversee the planning and execution of thermal generation projects with a focus on combined cycle facilities. The role involves coordination across engineering disciplines, vendor alignment, and guiding projects from early development stages through construction and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead execution of capital power projects from initiation through turnover
* Coordinate engineering, procurement, and construction stakeholders to maintain alignment on scope, cost, and schedule
* Track project financials, forecasts, and timelines while driving accountability for deliverables
* Oversee contractor and supplier relationships throughout the project lifecycle
* Guide internal teams on staffing, planning priorities, and execution strategy
* Interface directly with clients to ensure expectations and contractual requirements are met
* Manage project documentation, reporting, and change tracking
* Support proposal development and scope definition for upcoming work
* Conduct site visits and field reviews as required

Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline
* 8-10+ years of experience managing power generation projects
* Demonstrated exposure to combined cycle facilities
* Background coordinating multi-discipline engineering efforts
* Experience handling vendor interactions and project financial oversight
* Strong communication and leadership capabilities
* Willingness to travel and engage in field-based project activities
