Job Title: Project Manager - Heavy Civil / Earthwork
Location: Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex
We are partnering with a well-established heavy civil subcontractor in the DFW area that is looking to add a Project Manager to support continued growth. This role is ideal for someone with at least three years of project management experience in heavy civil construction, particularly within earthwork operations. The company has a strong backlog of work and offers the opportunity to take ownership of projects while working alongside an experienced operations team.
Responsibilities:
- Manage heavy civil earthwork projects from award through closeout.
- Oversee project budgets, schedules, cost tracking, and forecasting.
- Coordinate with superintendents, field personnel, subcontractors, owners, and vendors to ensure successful project execution.
- Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, procurement, and project documentation.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement solutions to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
- Maintain strong client relationships while ensuring quality and safety standards are met throughout construction.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience as a Project Manager or Assistant Project Manager within heavy civil construction.
- Experience managing earthwork projects is required.
- Strong understanding of project financials, scheduling, contracts, and construction documentation.
- Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.
- Experience working with project management software such as Viewpoint, HCSS, Procore, Bluebeam, or similar platforms is a plus.
