Portfolio Manager Structured Assests

Oscar is working with a leading investment firm that is looking for a Portfolio Manager (Structured Assests) to join their team.

As the Portfolio Manager, you will play a key role in the management of the company's investment portfolios, with primary responsibility for fixed income investments and a particular focus on structured and securitized assets.

This role will be responsible for portfolio construction, credit analysis, asset allocation, liquidity management, and asset-liability management within an insurance company environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and provide oversight of a designated segment of the company's investment portfolio, with an emphasis on structured and securitized fixed income assets, including ABS, RMBS, CMBS, CLOs, and other structured credit investments.
• Develop and implement strategic and tactical asset allocation recommendations aligned with the company's products, liabilities, risk objectives, and capital requirements.
• Monitor portfolio performance, investment activity, risk exposures, and compliance with investment guidelines and policies.
• Conduct detailed credit analysis and ongoing surveillance of fixed income and structured asset exposures.
• Analyze structured finance cash flows, collateral performance, credit enhancement, structural features, and investment risks.
• Evaluate portfolio exposures across interest rates, credit spreads, liquidity, duration, and structured credit sectors.
• Identify opportunities and risks across fixed income markets and recommend appropriate portfolio actions.
• Utilize Bloomberg, Intex, Aladdin, and other investment and portfolio analytics platforms to support investment decisions and portfolio monitoring.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Risk Management, Actuarial Science, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.
• 7+ years of fixed income investment experience, preferably within an institutional or insurance investment environment.
• Significant experience analyzing and managing structured and securitized assets, including ABS, RMBS, CMBS, CLOs, and other structured credit investments.
• Strong knowledge of fixed income markets, credit analysis, portfolio management, derivatives, ALM, insurance investment regulations, and capital frameworks.
• Strong understanding of fixed income risk measures, including duration, spread duration, and option-adjusted spread (OAS).
• Advanced understanding of structured finance cash flow analysis and portfolio-level risk assessment.
• Experience with investment and analytical platforms such as Bloomberg, Intex, Aladdin, or comparable systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
