Job Title: Construction Estimator - Commercial & Industrial Projects

Overview:
We're looking for a sharp, detail-driven Construction Estimator to join our growing preconstruction team. This role plays a critical part in supporting our commercial and industrial project pursuits ranging from $50M to $100M and will collaborate across disciplines to ensure accurate, timely, and competitive cost proposals.
You'll be responsible for developing detailed estimates, coordinating bid packages, and supporting procurement strategies. This position offers direct exposure to operations, field teams, and executive leadership, providing a strong foundation for long-term career growth in project delivery.
What You'll Do:
Prepare detailed cost estimates for competitive and negotiated commercial/industrial projects
Develop scopes of work across all disciplines, manage bid solicitations, and evaluate subcontractor/vendor pricing
Collaborate with project teams on logistics, phasing, and system analysis of architectural and MEP packages
Create and manage project documentation, including responsibility matrices, bid summaries, and general requirement breakdowns
Contribute to value engineering efforts and identify opportunities for improved constructability and cost efficiencies
Support bid-day processes and client-facing procurement presentations
Maintain organized, professional documentation and clear audit trails for each major estimate
Participate in peer reviews and mentor junior estimating staff as needed
What You Bring:
4 years of construction estimating experience (commercial/industrial focus preferred)
Strong understanding of construction systems, materials, and project sequencing
Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP plans and specifications
Proficiency with industry tools such as Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, Excel, and estimation platforms (e.g., ProEst, Sage, or similar)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience coordinating with field operations, subcontractors, and design professionals
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Preferred Skills:
Working knowledge of logistics planning, value engineering, and constructability reviews
Familiarity with BIM tools like Revit or Navisworks a plus
Understanding of self-perform capabilities and labor productivity tracking
Exposure to Lean construction principles is a plus
