DevOps Engineer/Site Reliability Engineer| 3-Month Contract (Possible Extension) | £550-£650p/day | Fully Remote | GCP, Docker, Kubernetes | Start: Immediately
About the Role
We are partnering with a healthcare technology client who is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer / Site Reliability Engineer to help scale and strengthen their cloud-native platform. This role focuses on microservices, event-driven systems, and distributed architectures, with a strong emphasis on performance, scalability, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain scalable platform services within a distributed architecture.
Improve performance, monitoring, and reliability across core systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to simplify architectural complexity and drive best practices.
Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and support within the engineering team.
Skills & Experience Required
5 years' experience in distributed systems and scalable services.
Strong architectural design and debugging skills.
Hands-on expertise with:
GCP (preferred), Docker, Kubernetes
SQL/NoSQL databases and data warehousing (BigQuery ideal)
Messaging systems (e.g., Pub/Sub, Kafka)
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence technical direction.
