Senior Data Engineer

I am working with a client in the TMT industry that is seeking an experience Data Engineer for a contract role. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing and building scalable ETL pipelines, with expertise in AWS, Databricks, and PySpark. This role requires both hands-on technical skills and the ability to establish and promote best practices in modern data engineering.

This is a hybrid contract position requiring 3 days onsite each week at either the New York, NY office or the Lawrence Township, NJ office.

Senior Data Engineer (AWS/Databricks)
Contract: $55 - $65 p/h
Hybrid: 3 days a week in-office
Duration: 12 month contract

Key Skills and Experience:

• 10 years in designing and building scalable data engineering pipelines
• Expertise in AWS ecosystem (Redshift, Athena, Glue, EMR, ECS, Lambda)
• Strong proficiency with Pyspark, SparkSQL, Databricks, and SQL
• Hands-on experience with Hadoop and Talend
• Proven ability to architect and optimize end-to-end data workflows
• Proven leadership experience with a strong record of implementing best practices in data engineering
