Overview:
We are seeking an Analytical Chemist to support synthesis and formulation process development and process introduction activities. This role will focus on analytical method development, validation, and troubleshooting to ensure product quality, performance, and successful scale-up. The Analytical Chemist will serve as a key technical resource supporting both R&D and production teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, validate, and implement analytical methods for complex formulations and chemical matrices

  • Perform detailed analytical characterization to support product and process development

  • Troubleshoot analytical and production issues, including out-of-specification results and yield challenges

  • Investigate product quality concerns, including contaminant identification and root cause analysis

  • Serve as an analytical technical resource for internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams

  • Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot analytical instrumentation

  • Support laboratory safety programs, including risk assessments and incident reporting

  • Maintain detailed documentation and ensure compliance with internal procedures and standards

  • Prioritize and manage analytical workload in a fast-paced development environment

  • Continuously expand technical expertise across analytical techniques and instrumentation

Required Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience with analytical method development in a laboratory environment

  • Strong knowledge of multiple analytical techniques, with expertise in at least two of the following:

    • Chromatography (HPLC, GC, etc.)

    • Spectroscopy (FTIR, UV-Vis, NMR, etc.)

    • Mass Spectrometry

    • Thermal Analysis

    • Physical Characterization Techniques

    • Microscopy

  • Experience with wet chemistry techniques (titrations, activity measurements, solids analysis, etc.)

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in personal care, home care, specialty chemicals, or related formulation environments

  • Experience supporting manufacturing, scale-up, or production troubleshooting

  • Experience working in an industrial R&D environment
