About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Account Director - Paid Search to take ownership of strategic search activity across key client accounts.
This is a senior role responsible for shaping paid search strategy, guiding campaign direction, and ensuring high-quality execution across all activity.
You will act as a trusted advisor to both clients and internal teams, providing strategic oversight, performance insight, and actionable recommendations to improve results and drive growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic direction of paid search activity across assigned accounts
- Act as a senior client contact, providing insight and recommendations
- Oversee campaign performance and ensure alignment with KPIs and objectives
- Ensure best practice is consistently applied across all paid search activity
- Support test-and-learn approaches and optimisation strategies
- Provide strategic oversight of campaign planning, execution, and reporting
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal teams
- Monitor industry trends and platform developments to identify opportunities
- Contribute to wider search strategy and knowledge sharing across teams
- Ensure governance, quality standards, and process compliance are maintained
Skills & Experience
- Strong background in paid search strategy and account management
- Experience in a client-facing or agency environment
- Strong understanding of digital marketing and performance media
- Confident managing senior stakeholders and client relationships
- Experience across major paid search platforms and tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to support and guide junior team members
Desirable: Experience with additional search platforms.
