Paid Search Account Manager | Manchester City Centre | Hybrid (3 days onsite) | £32,000-£36,000

I'm currently working with a leading global media and marketing organisation to recruit a Paid Search Account Manager to join their Manchester-based team.

The role sits within a specialist media unit focused on delivering performance-driven paid search activity at scale. You will be responsible for owning the day-to-day execution of paid search campaigns across a portfolio of key client brands, ensuring best-in-class delivery across optimisation, testing, reporting, and performance analysis.

You will act as the main point of contact for campaign activity, working closely with internal teams, clients, and suppliers to ensure campaigns are delivered effectively and aligned with wider business objectives. A key part of the role will also involve managing and developing junior team members, supporting their growth and ensuring high-quality output across all deliverables.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and optimising paid search campaigns across Google Ads and related platforms
  • Delivering ongoing performance improvements through testing, analysis, and optimisation
  • Translating campaign strategy into effective execution in collaboration with senior stakeholders
  • Taking ownership of reporting, performance commentary, and insight delivery
  • Ensuring adherence to paid search best practice and contributing to process improvement
  • Supporting, guiding, and developing junior team members within the team
  • Building strong relationships with clients, internal teams, and external partners
  • Identifying opportunities for innovation, efficiency, and improved performance
  • Supporting forecasting and strategic planning in partnership with senior team members

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in a Paid Search / PPC role within an agency or in-house environment
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of Google Ads, including Search, Shopping, and Performance Max
  • Good understanding of paid search strategy, optimisation techniques, and reporting
  • Experience working with data to identify insights and performance opportunities
  • Confidence managing stakeholders and communicating performance updates
  • Experience mentoring or supporting junior team members (desirable)
  • A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation
  • Strong understanding of the wider digital marketing landscape
