IT Technician - Laptop Deployment

Rate: £180 per day

We're currently looking for a hands-on IT Technician to join a school in Solihull on a short-term contract.

This is a great opportunity for an IT Support professional who enjoys practical, hands-on work and has experience building, imaging and preparing laptops for deployment.

The Role

You'll be responsible for preparing a large number of laptops for use across the school, ensuring devices are correctly configured, fully updated and ready for users.

Alongside the deployment work, you'll provide general IT support and help resolve day-to-day technical issues where required.

Key Responsibilities

• Image and prepare Windows laptops for deployment.
• Configure devices, applications, software and updates.
• Carry out hardware and software troubleshooting.
• Ensure laptops meet the required configuration and deployment standards.
• Keep accurate records of devices and deployment activity.
• Provide 1st and 2nd line IT support when required.
• Assist with resolving technical issues across the school environment.
• Work efficiently to meet agreed deployment deadlines.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in an IT Technician, IT Support or Desktop Support role.
• Proven hands-on experience with laptop imaging and deployment.
• Good knowledge of Windows operating systems.
• Comfortable troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
• Strong practical IT skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and a professional approach.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a busy environment.
• Enhanced DBS clearance is essential.
