We're recruiting an experienced IT Asset & Procurement Manager to take ownership of IT Asset Management (ITAM), Software Asset Management (SAM), hardware, software licensing, IT procurement, supplier management, vendor management, contracts and CMDB governance across a large technology estate.

This is a broad role covering the full lifecycle of hardware, software, SaaS subscriptions, cloud services, Microsoft licensing, technology contracts and IT suppliers.

You'll work closely with Infrastructure, Service Delivery, IT Operations, Finance, Procurement and senior technology stakeholders, helping improve asset visibility, licence compliance, cost optimisation, governance and supplier performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the full IT Asset Management / ITAM lifecycle
• Manage hardware asset management across laptops, desktops, servers, mobile devices and infrastructure equipment
• Manage Software Asset Management / SAM
• Oversee software licensing, licence compliance, renewals and optimisation
• Manage Microsoft and Microsoft 365 licensing
• Monitor SaaS subscriptions, cloud services and software utilisation
• Maintain accurate asset information within the CMDB
• Improve CMDB accuracy, asset data quality and governance
• Manage asset procurement, deployment, refresh, retirement and disposal
• Support hardware refresh programmes and lifecycle planning
• Manage IT suppliers, technology vendors and third-party providers
• Manage contracts, renewals, negotiations and commercial agreements
• Support IT and technology procurement
• Identify cost-saving and cost-optimisation opportunities
• Analyse software usage and identify unused or underutilised licences
• Support software audits, licensing audits and compliance reviews
• Improve IT asset policies, processes and procedures
• Produce asset reports, dashboards and management information
• Track IT spend, licence spend and supplier spend
• Support budgeting and forecasting
• Work with Finance and Procurement around purchase orders, invoices and renewals
• Support asset management across multiple sites
• Work within an ITIL / ITSM environment
• Contribute to wider IT transformation and infrastructure projects

Experience with tools such as ServiceNow, Flexera, Snow Software, Lansweeper, SCCM, Microsoft Intune or Ivanti would be advantageous.

You may currently be working as an IT Asset Manager, Software Asset Manager, SAM Manager, ITAM Manager, Hardware Asset Manager, Technology Asset Manager, IT Procurement Manager, IT Commercial Manager, IT Vendor Manager, IT Supplier Manager, IT Contracts Manager, IT Licence Manager or IT Asset Management Lead.

This is an opportunity to take genuine ownership of a sizeable technology asset estate and improve ITAM, SAM, procurement, licensing, CMDB, vendor management and contract management processes across the organisation.
