Head of Engineering

Responsibilities:

Solve complex issues efficiently and develop innovative solutions
Consistently incorporate customer feedback into product improvements
Design, evaluate, and implement solutions end-to-end
Lead a small team of 5 engineers
Manage individual project requirements, priorities, and deliverables to ensure timely completion
Demonstrate strong leadership qualities with the ability to take full ownership of technical projects and processes
Report directly to the founder and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., design and others)

Requirements:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience
5+ years of relevant software engineering experience, including at least 1 year in a team leadership role
Extensive hands-on experience with TypeScript, Node.js, and React
Deep proficiency with Git
Comfortable operating as a full-stack engineering leader
Strong product sense and eagerness to understand business context
Experience leading agile development processes
Passion for tackling complex problems
Ability to clearly define and communicate trade-offs in functionality, resources, and development speed to non-technical stakeholders
Enthusiasm for exploring emerging technologies (e.g., AI, voice-to-text solutions) and openness to working with hardware
