Party Chief - Land Surveyor

A well-established civil engineering, planning, and surveying firm is seeking a Survey Party Chief to lead field survey operations. The role will oversee survey crews and support a variety of land development, commercial, residential, and infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise survey field crews on active project sites
• Perform construction staking, boundary surveys, ALTA surveys, and topographic surveys
• Operate survey equipment including GPS, robotic total stations, and data collectors
• Interpret engineering plans, plats, and legal descriptions to establish control points
• Coordinate with civil engineers, project managers, and CAD teams to ensure accurate data collection
• Ensure field operations meet quality, safety, and project standards
• Maintain survey equipment and ensure proper calibration
