DevSecOps Manager

We are looking for a hands-on DevOps Manager to lead an engineering team while remaining actively involved in software development and technical delivery. This is a development-focused role, not an operations-focused management position.

What You'll Do

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers while remaining hands-on with coding
• Design and build software, backend services, APIs, and cloud-native applications
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub/GitHub Actions
• Provide technical leadership across software architecture, system design, and engineering practices
• Partner with engineering teams to improve development velocity, automation, and software quality
• Review code, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and contribute to production systems
• Help evaluate and implement technologies that improve scalability and engineering productivity

What You'll Bring

• 6+ years of software engineering experience
• 2+ years of technical leadership or engineering management experience
• Strong, current programming experience with Python, Java, or Go/Golang
• Must be actively coding and comfortable contributing to production software
• Strong background in backend development, APIs, microservices, or distributed systems
• Experience with GitHub and CI/CD pipelines, preferably GitHub Actions
• Strong understanding of system design and software architecture
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Experience with Docker/Kubernetes is a plus
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and mentoring skills

Important: This role is specifically geared toward an engineering/development-focused leader. Candidates whose experience is primarily IT operations, infrastructure management, or production support will not be the ideal fit.
