Project Manager - Site Development
A growing site development contractor is looking for a Project Manager to oversee projects with a strong focus on earthwork and underground utilities.
This is a more office-based Project Management position rather than a field-driven role, but the ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of field operations and experience working with self-perform crews.
Responsibilities
- Manage site development projects from preconstruction through completion
- Oversee project budgets, cost tracking and forecasting
- Manage project schedules and overall progress
- Coordinate closely with Superintendents and self-perform field crews
- Handle RFIs, submittals, change orders and project documentation
- Manage subcontractors, vendors and material procurement
- Coordinate with owners, engineers and project stakeholders
- Track production and ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget
- Identify and resolve project issues before they impact cost or schedule
- Assist with project closeout and final documentation
Ideal Background
- Project Management experience within site development or heavy civil construction
- Strong understanding of earthwork, grading and dirt operations
- Experience with underground utilities, including water, sewer, storm or drainage
- Experience working with or overseeing self-perform crews
- Strong understanding of field production and construction operations
- Experience managing budgets, schedules and change orders
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Compensation
$90,000 - $140,000, depending on experience. Medical, vision, dental, holiday pay, and vacation!
This is a strong opportunity for someone with hands-on site development knowledge who wants to focus more heavily on the project management, financial and coordination side of construction
