We are actively seeking an experienced Substation Construction Manager to lead the field execution of high-voltage substation projects across Texas. This role is responsible for driving safe, on-time, and on-budget delivery from mobilization through commissioning in an EPC environment.
Lead day-to-day site construction activities for HV substation and switchyard projects
Manage subcontractors, craft labor, and field staff to meet schedule and productivity targets
Oversee site safety, QA/QC, and environmental compliance
Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to ensure material readiness and drawing alignment
Drive look-ahead planning, schedule recovery, and cost control
Serve as the primary site interface with the client, utility, and inspectors
Support commissioning, energization, and project closeout
Proven experience managing high-voltage substation construction projects
Strong background in T&D / power delivery in an EPC environment
Demonstrated success leading field execution, subcontractors, and safety programs
Ability to manage budget, schedule, and project reporting
Willingness to travel to project sites across Texas
Utility-scale solar (substation or BOP scope)
Transmission line or distribution projects
Data center or mission critical power infrastructure
Combined cycle or other power generation projects
Experience with energization and commissioning activities
