Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee utility-scale Transmission projects (500kV). This is a critical leadership role responsible for managing field operations, ensuring safety compliance, coordinating with subcontractors, and delivering high-voltage transmission projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
Provide on-site leadership and oversight of transmission line construction projects, with a focus on 500kV systems.
Manage and coordinate all field activities including scheduling, subcontractor management, safety, and quality control.
Oversee crews and ensure proper installation of foundations, structures, stringing, and high-voltage components.
Serve as the primary point of contact between project stakeholders, contractors, and internal leadership.
Ensure strict compliance with OSHA, NESC, and utility standards.
Track project progress, resolve field issues, and implement solutions to keep work on schedule.
Manage project documentation, reporting, and turnover packages.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Construction Manager in the power delivery sector.
Proven expertise managing Transmission projects at 500kV or higher.
Strong understanding of transmission line construction methods, environmental requirements, and safety practices.
Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams of field supervisors, subcontractors, and labor crews.
Ability to travel as needed and work on-site in various project locations.
