IT Field Engineer - IoT & Smart Monitoring

We're looking for a hands-on IT Field Engineer to install, configure, and support IoT and smart monitoring systems. You'll work both on-site and remotely, troubleshooting networking and hardware issues, ensuring reliable performance, and supporting clients post-deployment.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve on-site and remote issues.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams to maintain uptime.
• Install, configure, and commission gateways, sensors, and metering devices.
• Set up and troubleshoot IP networks, firewalls, and connectivity (LoRaWAN, Wi-Fi, etc.).
• Integrate new systems into IoT platforms and ensure accurate comms & data flow.

Skills and experience

• IT, networking, or engineering background (degree or equivalent experience).

• Strong knowledge of IP networking and IT hardware setup.

• Practical experience in field installation and technical support.

• Clear communication and strong problem-solving skills.

• Desirable : IoT, utilities, or smart monitoring experience; basic scripting experience
