This is a newly created role with high visibility and impact, offering the opportunity to shape how AI is embedded across a growing eCommerce group.
The Role
We're looking for an AI-native, commercially minded problem solver who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys building from the ground up.
You'll work across multiple teams to identify automation opportunities, implement AI-powered workflows, and improve how the business operates. This includes everything from content automation and customer journey optimisation to operational efficiency and commercial insight generation.
This role is ideal for someone who combines strong eCommerce understanding with a genuine enthusiasm for AI tools and emerging technologies.
What You'll Be Doing
AI & Automation
- Identify opportunities to automate processes and improve efficiency using AI
- Build, test, and deploy AI-driven workflows, automations, and agents
- Develop prompt frameworks, SOPs, and best practices for AI adoption
- Evaluate and implement new AI tools and platforms
- Act as an internal AI champion across the business
eCommerce & Shopify
- Optimise Shopify ecosystem performance
- Improve product content generation, merchandising, and catalogue management using AI
- Automate workflows across Shopify, CRM, and related systems
- Improve customer journeys and on-site experiences
- Support integration and automation of data between systems
CRM, Marketing & Growth
- Support customer segmentation and personalisation initiatives
- Build automated customer journeys within CRM platforms
- Use AI to improve content creation and campaign performance
- Identify opportunities in SEO, GEO, and digital visibility through AI
Data & Commercial Insight
- Analyse commercial and customer data to generate insights
- Build dashboards and reporting for decision-making
- Work with data from eCommerce, analytics, and CRM platforms
- Translate insights into actionable business improvements
Continuous Improvement
- Document workflows and automation processes
- Monitor and optimise AI initiatives over time
- Work closely with leadership to prioritise high-impact opportunities
About You
You'll likely come from an eCommerce, digital, operations, or automation background, but most importantly you'll be excited by AI and solving business problems.
Essential Experience
- Strong interest in AI, automation, and emerging technologies
- Daily use of AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, etc.)
- Experience within an eCommerce environment
- Good understanding of Shopify and eCommerce operations
- Experience using automation tools (e.g. n8n, Make, Zapier)
- Commercial mindset with ability to identify opportunities
- Comfortable working in ambiguity and building from scratch
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Desirable Experience
- CRM/marketing automation experience (e.g. Klaviyo)
- AI-assisted content creation at scale
- API or system integration exposure
- Basic coding (Python, JavaScript, SQL)
- Google Analytics / Cloud / digital marketing experience
- Understanding of SEO, GEO, or AI search optimisation
- Experience with AI agents or frameworks (OpenAI, LangChain, CrewAI)
