Project Manager - Excavation and Dirt Work

A self-performing civil contractor operating in North Texas is looking to add an experienced Project Manager to support an active and growing workload.

This role is focused on excavation and dirt work scopes supporting larger site and civil projects. The ideal candidate understands grading, production planning, and field coordination and can manage projects from startup through completion.

Role Overview

• Managing civil projects from preconstruction through closeout

• Reviewing plans, quantities, and scopes related to grading and excavation

• Coordinating schedules, field operations, and production flow

• Working closely with superintendents and field leadership

• Tracking costs, schedules, and job performance

• Supporting project setup and internal handoffs

• Adapting to company systems and software as needed

Ideal Background

• 3+ years of experience in civil construction project management

• Experience with excavation and grading scopes within civil projects

• Ability to read and interpret civil plans

• Strong employment tenure and preference for long-term roles

• Comfortable learning new tools and software as required
