Data Architect

A rapidly developing SaaS company that focuses on delivering intelligent and sustainable cash management solutions is looking to bring on a Data Architect. You'll play a crucial role in defining enterprise data strategy and building scalable, reliable systems for diverse business needs. This role is hands-on with architecture but also sets standards and guides engineering teams.

• Salary: $160k - 180k
• 3 Days On-Site | Dallas, Texas

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain enterprise data architecture across ingestion, storage, transformation, and consumption layers.

• Establish architectural standards, modeling frameworks, and governance best practices.

• Collaborate with engineering, analytics, and product teams to ensure platform reliability and scalability.

• Evaluate and recommend modern data technologies to meet business and technical requirements.

• Lead design reviews and mentor engineers on architectural best practices.

• Ensure platform compliance with security, regulatory, and operational standards.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in data engineering, architecture, or platform roles.

• Expertise with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and distributed data systems (Spark, Kafka, Trino).

• Advanced SQL and data modeling experience (dimensional, Data Vault, or similar).

• Strong understanding of CI/CD processes, version control, and infrastructure-as-code.

• Proven ability to design scalable, reliable, and observable data systems.

Preferred

• Experience with AI/ML data workflows or feature engineering.

• Familiarity with orchestration and workflow tools (Airflow, dbt).

• Hands-on experience with containerized data platforms (Kubernetes).

• Experience in fast-growing tech environments with complex data needs.
