We are seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent to oversee field execution on high-voltage transmission line and substation construction projects. This role will be responsible for leading field operations, managing crews and subcontractors, driving schedule performance, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards.
Responsibilities:
* Lead day-to-day construction activities for transmission line and substation projects
* Manage field crews, subcontractors, foremen, and construction personnel
* Oversee execution of high-voltage electrical scopes, including transmission, substation, and related infrastructure work
* Coordinate construction activities with project managers, engineers, and field leadership
* Drive schedules through look-ahead planning and daily field coordination
* Monitor manpower, productivity, safety, and site logistics
* Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and company safety procedures
* Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and electrical plans
* Support project planning, execution, testing, and turnover activities
* Identify and resolve field issues to maintain schedule and production goals
* Participate in project meetings and provide regular progress updates
* Mentor and develop field personnel while maintaining a strong safety-first culture
Qualifications:
* 5-10+ years of experience in transmission line and/or substation construction
* Strong background managing high-voltage electrical construction projects
* Experience leading large field crews and subcontractors
* Knowledge of transmission line construction methods and substation installation practices
* Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and electrical plans
* Strong scheduling, coordination, and problem-solving skills
* Familiarity with QA/QC processes and construction safety standards
* OSHA certification preferred
* Journeyman lineman, electrical foreman, or field-up background strongly preferred
* Ability to travel for project assignments as needed
Preferred Experience:
* Transmission line projects (69kV-500kV+)
* AIS and GIS substation construction
* Utility, EPC, or self-perform construction environments
* Greenfield and brownfield substation projects
* Heavy civil and electrical infrastructure construction
* Experience managing multiple crews and fast-paced project schedules
