Lead Front End Developer

Lead Front End Developer| Leeds | Hybrid | £60,000 - £70,000 DOE

We're working with a growing organisation looking to hire a Frontend Lead to take ownership of their web platform and digital experience.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll guide a team of developers while shaping the technical direction of the frontend. You'll be responsible for delivering high-quality, scalable, and accessible web experiences, working closely with UX, backend, and wider stakeholders to drive the roadmap forward.

The Role

• Own the frontend architecture and technical roadmap
• Lead, mentor, and support a team of developers
• Deliver performant, scalable, and user-focused web experiences
• Work closely with stakeholders to prioritise and plan delivery
• Collaborate with UX and backend teams to deliver seamless user journeys
• Drive best practices across code quality, testing, and documentation
• Continuously improve the platform and reduce technical debt

About You

• Strong experience with React, Next.js, and modern frontend development
• Previous experience leading or mentoring developers
• Proven track record of building and maintaining complex web applications
• Comfortable working cross-functionally in agile teams
• Strong focus on performance, accessibility, and maintainable code
