Project Manager - Sitework

The Role

A DFW-based, self-performing sitework contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee excavation and full site packages across commercial, residential, municipal, and TxDOT projects in North Texas. This role is based in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and will play a key part in managing multiple active projects from planning through closeout.

In this position, you'll be responsible for managing schedules, budgets, and production for self-performed dirt and sitework scopes, working closely with field leadership to keep projects on track. This role is well-suited for a Project Manager who understands how site packages are built in the field and is comfortable managing large volumes of work concurrently.

Why Join This Team?

  • Work with a growing contractor that self-performs core sitework scopes

  • Direct involvement in project execution, not just reporting

  • Opportunity to manage significant project volume and responsibility

  • Less red tape and a more hands-on operating environment

  • Competitive compensation aligned with experience and responsibility

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage $30M-$50M in active projects concurrently, depending on workload

  • Oversee self-performed sitework scopes, including dirtwork and related civil activities

  • Coordinate schedules, budgets, and production tracking across multiple jobs

  • Work closely with superintendents and field crews to support execution

  • Manage subcontracted scopes as needed and maintain alignment with project goals

  • Support projects across commercial, residential, municipal, and TxDOT markets

Experience with railroad-related sitework is a plus, but not required.

What You'll Need to Bring

  • 3-7 years of experience in a Project Manager or Assistant Project Manager role

  • Background with self-performing contractors (earthwork, sitework, or civil)

  • Experience managing multiple projects and large dollar values simultaneously

  • Strong understanding of sitework execution and production sequencing

  • GC background acceptable if experience includes self-performed scopes
