Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 + full benefits

Overview
Onboarding looks administrative - until you're supporting contractor placements across multiple states at scale.
At Oscar, this role sits at the operational centre of our People function. You'll own contractor onboarding, compliance coordination, and internal HR lifecycle support in a high-volume staffing environment.
This is a hands-on operational role where accuracy, organisation, and follow-through matter.
What You'll Do
- Contractor Operations
- Manage end-to-end contractor onboarding
- Coordinate background checks, documentation, and compliance requirements
- Monitor timesheets and resolve contractor queries
Compliance
- Maintain I-9 and E-Verify records
- Support multi-state compliance requirements
- Ensure accurate worker classification (W2, 1099, C2C, LLC)
- Maintain audit-ready documentation
HR Operations
- Support internal employee onboarding and offboarding
- Prepare offer and termination documentation
- Maintain HR records and system accuracy
- Coordinate benefits and payroll support
Reporting & Process
- Track onboarding progress and compliance status
- Identify gaps and improve operational processes
What We're Looking For
- 1-3+ years in HR, onboarding, or operations (staffing/agency experience strongly preferred)
- Understanding of contractor environments and employment classifications (W2, 1099, C2C)
- Experience supporting multi-state HR or payroll processes
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage volume
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, operational environment
- Systems confidence (HRIS, payroll, ATS)
