Scheduler Manager
Position Summary
The Scheduler Manager is responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing detailed project schedules for large-scale industrial construction projects. This role works closely with project management, engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure accurate planning, progress tracking, and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using industry-standard scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6)
- Lead schedule development efforts across engineering, procurement, and construction phases (EPC)
- Analyze schedule performance, critical path, and identify risks and opportunities
- Provide regular schedule updates, forecasts, and progress reports to project leadership
- Interface with project controls, cost, and field teams to ensure alignment between schedule and execution
- Perform what-if scenario analysis and support recovery planning efforts
- Ensure compliance with project scheduling standards, procedures, and best practices
- Mentor and guide junior schedulers as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of scheduling experience in industrial construction projects
- Strong experience with EPC projects (power generation, oil & gas, or heavy industrial preferred)
- Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, cost integration, and project controls
- Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills
Preferred Experience
- Combined cycle power plant or large-scale energy projects
- Experience working in field environments or alongside construction teams
- Familiarity with cost systems and integrated project controls
