The Opportunity
I'm recruiting on behalf of a well-established B2B digital marketing company that works closely with technology-focused organisations to build high-performing digital platforms and integrated campaigns. This is a hands-on Web Developer role, ideal for someone who enjoys owning WordPress builds end to end and working closely with designers, marketers, and project managers.
The business operates multiple high-traffic technology platforms with a monthly reach of over 1 million users, making this a great opportunity to work on visible, content-rich websites within the emerging technology space.
What You'll Be Working On
Building custom WordPress themes and plugins tailored to client and internal platform needs
Converting designs into responsive, accessible WordPress websites
Optimising websites for performance, speed, and SEO
Managing CMS updates, backups, security, and ongoing maintenance
Troubleshooting bugs and resolving browser and device compatibility issues
Supporting website migrations, hosting setups, and domain management
Providing technical support and guidance to internal teams and clients
Tech Stack / Skills
WordPress (custom themes & plugins)
PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript
Advanced Custom Fields
Custom post types and bespoke content structures
API and third-party service integrations
Knowledge/understanding of page builders
What They're Looking For
3+ years' experience developing WordPress sites (in-house or agency)
Strong understanding of modern WordPress development best practices
Detail-oriented with a focus on performance and quality
Confident collaborating with non-technical stakeholders
