About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator with a strong background in commercial construction, specifically within healthcare environments. This role will lead preconstruction and estimating efforts on healthcare projects ranging from $5 million to $25 million, including both ground-up construction and complex remodels of critical care facilities.

The ideal candidate has a proven ability to price and win work, build client relationships, and manage full-scope estimates independently from concept through final proposal.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead estimating efforts on commercial healthcare projects valued between $5M-$25M

• Prepare detailed conceptual, schematic, and GMP estimates

• Manage both hard bid and negotiated bid processes

• Perform quantity takeoffs, scope reviews, subcontractor outreach, and bid leveling

• Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and vendors

• Identify value engineering opportunities while maintaining quality and compliance standards

• Present estimates to leadership and clients with clarity and confidence

• Actively participate in selling projects to clients, assisting business development efforts

• Oversee at least two full-scope estimates independently from start to finish

• Collaborate with project management teams to ensure smooth handoff from preconstruction to operations

Project Experience Required

• Commercial healthcare construction experience required

• Experience working on critical care facilities (e.g., ICU, surgical suites, imaging, emergency departments)

• Ground-up and renovation/remodel projects

• Familiarity with healthcare codes, infection control requirements, and complex MEP systems typical in medical facilities

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of commercial construction estimating experience

• Minimum of two full-scope healthcare projects completed independently

• Proven experience in both hard bid and negotiated procurement

• Strong ability to sell projects and build long-term client relationships

• Proficient in estimating software and quantity takeoff tools

• Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills

• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills
